What is SketchUp Labs?
SketchUp Labs is a public Beta program that is covered under Trimble’s applicable end user terms.
The features you discover in SketchUp Labs will likely change and evolve. Since Labs is a place for the tech development team at SketchUp to test things that are in early development, things won’t always be perfect and you may encounter a bug or two.

Eligibility for the features in SketchUp Labs may change at any time. New features in Labs are used to to test and get feedback about pricing and packaging. When it comes to Labs features, SketchUp will communicate pricing and packaging changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
Diffusion is a SketchUp Labs feature only available to SketchUp users with an active Go, Pro, or Studio subscription.
Latest Features
NOTE: Experiments don’t always work out. If a feature doesn’t add value or isn’t connecting with users, Trimble may close out a Labs feature at any time.

Layout's new Graphics Engine
This new engine brings LayOut screen drawing into a more modern infrastructure and provides more flexibility moving forward to improve performance.
SketchUp LayOut graphics engine is a Labs project as there are still some existing issues. So please do be patient if you encounter some bugs when with the new graphics engine.
Scan-to-Design
Customize Scan-to-Design to suit your outputs by choosing between textured 3D meshes that are created leveraging Canvas’ scanning technology or simplified, untextured planes using Apple’s RoomPlan technology – or both.

With Scan-to-Design, you can capture a comprehensive scan of interior spaces, quickly iterate on the spot, and capture measurements and details.
